Amazon reviews API
GET /product-reviews returns the public review data on an Amazon product page: average rating, total ratings, the percentage for each star, Amazon’s AI “Customers say” summary, aspect tags such as “Value for money” with mention counts, sentiment and Amazon’s one-line summary, and the top reviews Amazon shows signed-out visitors, typically 5 to 13.
Part of Amazon Data API, sold on RapidAPI with a free plan of 100 requests a month. Endpoint details checked 2026-11-03.
What GET /product-reviews returns
Public review data from the product page: average rating, total ratings, star breakdown (% per star), Amazon's AI "Customers say" summary with topic tags and mention counts, and the top reviews Amazon shows logged-out visitors (typically 5 to 13; may be empty on some amazon.com pages, where Amazon asks visitors to sign in). Full review lists need an Amazon login and are not included. A product nobody has rated yet returns rating null and total_ratings 0. Each review has `date` (ISO YYYY-MM-DD or null) and `date_text` (Amazon's raw line), `helpful_votes` (integer or null) and `helpful_votes_text` (Amazon's raw phrase). Aspect names use display casing, e.g. "Value for money".

FAQ
- Can I get every review for a product?
- No. Amazon shows full review lists only to signed-in users, so the API returns the ratings summary and the top reviews visible without a login. On some amazon.com pages that list is empty; amazon.co.uk (country=GB) usually shows them.
- What does a product with no reviews return?
- rating is null and total_ratings is 0. The call still succeeds.
- What date format do reviews use?
- Each review has date as ISO YYYY-MM-DD, or null when it cannot be parsed, plus date_text with Amazon’s original line, which also names the review’s country.
